Psalm Study

Welcome to the Psalm study: Trusting God for a Better Tomorrow.  I am so glad you are here!

This year our study of God’s Word can be described as slow and deep.  Slowing our pace allows the truths of the ancient words to go deep and take root in the marrow of our being.  When God’s Word takes root, change takes place.

I need change, do you?  For several months I have been on cruise in my relationship with Christ.  This Psalm Study is exactly what I need to advance my relationship with Christ to a new level.  I look forward to change in 2012.

  1. Dawn says:

    Wendy,
So excited for Jan. 2nd to come and read the Psalms with a fresh and new outlook. Also, to be lead by you will also be a plus! Thank you so much for doing this.
    Merry Christmas to All!
Many Blessings to All in 2012 as well!

  2. Colletta says:

I’m really looking forward to this study of Psalms.

  3. Diane from Ohio says:

Looking forward to starting the Psalms study. At the end of this year I will have completed 2 years of reading through the word. I feel the in depth study will help me have a deeper relationship with my Lord and Savior. Your teaching has helped me to grow in my Christian walk.
    Christmas Blessings!

  4. Joy says:

Great videos my sweet friend. You explained everything in so much detail. All the questions I had were answered. I loved your idea of getting a new One Year Bible to begin reading again with fresh eyes. I’ve read mine for 3 years now too.

The Psalm study sounds exciting. Just yesterday I purchased the EXACT same binder you demonstrated…complete with front clear pocket….by default. I needed 3 binders for Christmas gifts I am still in the process of making, but the binders were sold in pairs for the best deal. Smiling now thinking that God knew in advance I’d need a binder. Don’t you love how He is interested in every detail of our lives.

I felt months ago that the Lord was calling me to something different next year, and excited to think that your “different” for 2012 might be mine as well, keeping some things the same.

Love you my friend. Praying the Lord will deepen my love for Him as we continue to walk together.
    Hugs,
    Joy

  9. Susan Meyers says:

Wendy, I am looking forward to this study of Psalms next year. This year in RTW, Psalms spoke to me and I enjoyed them more than ever before. So I feel God led you to do them to let people know them, just like you taught us (me) how wonderful and personal the Bible is.
I am sad about one thing, tho. We will only see you once a week. I’ve been spoiled by seeing you at the beginning of each day.
    Love and hugs,
    Susan from Atlanta

  21. TraceyG says:

Wendy ~ I loved walking with you through the word in 2011 right up until the kids got out of school in June then things seemed to just… slip away. I had thought I would start again so popped over here to see I am in for something completely different! Well, off we go then!
I hope you and all the ladies are well and had a great second half of 2011 and i hope to make it all the way through with you in 2012!

    Love and light to all

  24. Wendy, This year my best friend and I did RTW with you and have absolutely loved it. We lead the Women’s ministry in our church and have 10 ladies who have purchased the Chronological Bible and are going to read with us this year. Your example and encouragement has helped us to grow deeper in our relationship with the Lord and given us a love for God’s word that we never knew we could have. So excited to lead our women in reading God’s word this year.

    • Janice says:

      LA,

  43. Amanda says:

I am so excited to start this study. As a new Christian I knew I needed to find a Bible Study for the year, but as a Graduate Student working towards my Ph.D. I knew it couldn’t add too much reading to my load. Thank you God for bringing this Bible study to me.

    • Trina says:

Amanda, such great news to have you as a sister in Christ. I understand the work load of your graduate work and the reading that comes along with it. I have often said that pharmacy school cured me of ever wanting to read again! I’m new to this study as well, and was scanning comments. So thankful to read that you are a new Christian desiring to study God’s Word. I tell my kids that the Bible isn’t like any other book. It’s “magic.” It accomplishes what it sets out to do. It is living, breathing, potent. Even when you don’t think it is. In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. (John 1:1)

      So excited.

  44. olga says:

Looking forward to the study. So excited…Thank you for sharing the study with us..

  47. Christi W says:

  48. I am going to be joining you guys as well! I am trying to get together a small group for kind of an email accountability group. If you are interested, shoot me an email! Right now it is me and another lady…we would love to have a couple others join us!! Our thought is that we shoot one email a week (or so) to the group talking about what we are learning and how we are growing. We also want to share any difficulties we are facing and prayer requests. Both of us are excited about this because we do not spend daily time in the Word and we know how that needs to change.

I hope we can find a couple more people!

I’ve been looking for a Bible study to sink myself in, and I’m thrilled that this is it. God raises up teachers of the Word and so there has to be students. That has comforted me as I have failed to do a good job teaching myself! Ha!

    Looking forward to Monday. :)

    • Mary Mom MN says:

Traci, can you e-mail Wendy directly for help? She may not see this post for a bit. Otherwise, you can try to go to the top of this page and click on online studies and hover over Psalms. The side bar will jut out that says study questions. Myabe that will help. I got my questions today via e-mail. Did you sign up for e-mail from the side bar along the right where it says mailing address? Best wishes!! She is worth it. HE is worth it. Keep trying.

  82. catherine says:

thanks you for your study of the psalms. i really enjoyed your teaching on psalm 1 this week. it it a great psalm that i you get a alot out of. i am still reflecting on psalm one. it really makes you consider your relationships, and wether they are good ones that glorify god or not. thanks for your teaching this week and i look forwar to hearing more on the studies of psalms as we go, i am also trying to participate in the read thru the word for 2012, as it is seems to be benefical way to read scripture, i did read thru the bible in 2011 but i would love to get more out of what i read and decided i would try to do the 2012 RTW this year as well.

  83. Karen says:

Just got the e-mail with the link to today’s Psalm Study questions. However, when I click on the link it takes me to a page that says “This address is not valid.” The website that shows at the top of my screen (just before “address not found” appears) says madmimi.com. I didn’t have any problems on Tuesday.

  84. val says:

Oh – how much did I love reading other versions of this beautiful Psalm!! Some were certainly more challenging than others. I would have to say my favorite (and I read them all out loud and you are SO RIGHT – it just instills so much more passion for me when I read these beautiful words out loud!!). My favorite version was the Amplified BIble – it seemed to be just that. The Words of God seemed to jump out for me as I read them – of course having been reading this Psalm all week my excitement in it has grown as well!! Thank you for taking us on this journey dear Wendy!! So far it has been a fun ride!
    In Christ’s Love
    Val

  85. Cindy Roach says:

    Hi to all
This weeks questions really opened my eyes. My moment of truth hit when I realized something really will always be conspiring against my peace etc. whvether it is a particular person, a situation, or the enemy himself, I need to be readied for battle! When I got hurt in the accident 2 years ago, I was no threat to anyone when I could hardly walk!! That got worked out to where I could function; then the financial hit; still not resolved, but I called about 2 equally distressing situations yesterday instead of my usual avoidance and my landlord is going to try to work things out. Awesome Awesome. So I , am rejoicing in that when boom the police are at the door because my 2 grandsons ran away; they are still missing at this point… But you know what…. like the song says My foes are many but help is on the way. Always…. My God will not fail.. Please continue to pray for a fence of protection around us; I am not being emotionally attacked. My girlfriends husband just passed away; my 103 yr old client who I have had for almost 8 years is failing and all I do is cry. But it is another ploy, I can be strong in the Lord. Sorry for so long Cindy

  86. Kim Tipton says:

I’m joining a little late (but promise to catch up!) I have been looking for a Bible study to do that would be in depth, but something I thought I would like. I love the Psalms and I am very excited to study them with you!

  87. Julie says:

I hope I can still join in even though I am starting late. I have read up to date and am waiting for the study questions.

  88. Shanna Dixon says:

I can trust God and approach him with freedom and confidence, he works for my good. I just finished reading through the scripture and answering the study questions. My husband and son have both been sick this morning and I spoke with the schools front office about getting my sons school work together.
They were not very helpful and I was worried that he would fall behind in his schoolwork today. As I was about to type in my comments here the phone rang and it was his teacher, she did not receive the message from the front desk and she was calling to check in on him. She was very helpful and is gathering his work together right now. Thank you God! Wonderful timing! Everyone have a great day!

  89. Teresa Hartzoge says:

I am so excited to be able to join these women and you Wendy in both RTW and the Psalms.
God has reveal to me recently how much more I need to study His word. I wasn’t sure where to begin.
Thanks to the Jan Proverbs 31 magazine reading your article ,and by the way your picture is beautiful.I am feeling this is the studies for me . Thanks again Wendy for providing these teachings.
