The Hope Of Remembering

Yet I still dare to hope when I remember this:
Lamentations 3:21

My Takeaways

Something Old

All of “these” hopes will fade, change, or end, BUT…

  • The faithful love God will never fade.
  • His mercies will never end.
  • His faithfulness will never change.

Therefore… that being said… all this being true…

  • Let’s put our hope in Him, instead of money, education, career, looks, the church, serving, or fame.
  • He is our portion, our enough, all we need.

Something New

Jeremiah saw the destruction he prophesied. I can’t imagine what that was like for Him. God will do what He says He will do.

Something to Do

Remember my Hope.

  1. This reading was very gut-wrenching for me this time.i could almost feel what he must have been feeling. It made me fearful about ever sinning to the point of bringing this kind of judgement down. And drives home the gravity of sin and how it angers God.

  2. I felt so sorry for Jeremiah. What a life. He lived for the Lord but had to experience such suffering. What a sad, sad time in history.
