A Powerful Two-Word Prayer

LORD, help!
Psalm 107:6,19,28

My Takeaways

Something Old

God responds to a cry for help.

They cried, “LORD help!”

  • He rescued them. (Psalm 107:6) Lead the straight to safety. (Psalm 107:7)
  • He saved them. (Psalm 107:19). Sent His word out and healed them. (Psalm 107:20)
  • He saved them. (Psalm 107:28). Calmed the storm and stilled the waves. (Psalm 107:29)

When I’m lost and hopeless, cry, “LORD help!” It’s a powerful prayer that God has shown He will respond to.

Then I should praise Him.

Let them praise the LORD for His great love and for the wonderful things He has done for them. Psalm 107:8, 21,31

Something New

All who obey the LORD’s commandments will grow in wisdom. (Psalm 111:10)

Something to Do

I don’t have to pray with big, lofty words. Pray this powerful two-word prayer when I don’t know what to pray.

One Comment

  1. I love the power of “Lord, HELP.” The simplest and straightest line to God. I suspect He sees and hears our desperation and sincerity in the limited words. I have spoken these so often and am ever grateful for His grace and mercy to meet me each time. Sometimes the pain prohibits any further expression. It is as if all the rest has been pressed out of us and only the most potent remains.
