Christ lives in me! What an empowering, and at the same time, humbling reminder. Colossians 2:7 also resonated with me. “Let your roots grow down into him, and let your lives be built on him. Then your faith will grow strong in the truth you were taught, and you will overflow with thankfulness.” This is my prayer for my children and grandchildren.
What stood out to me today was Col 4:17. Paul gives a personal message to be given to Archippus. He is to be sure to carry out the ministry the Lord had given him. The question that God brought to my mind was…Are you carrying out the ministry I’ve given you? This was so timely because I’ve been struggling to decide if I should lead another women’s study at church after the holidays. The women are wanting to continue and I’ve been unsure about continuing but God used this verse to confirm that I should continue carrying out this ministry he had given me. So grateful for how He used His Word to confirm His plan for me!
It’s interesting to read my own comment from last year and realize it still holds true.
In addition my focus this year was Colossians 3:12-15. Paraphrasing: Since God chose me to be a holy person that He loves, I must clothe myself with tender hearted mercy, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience. I must make allowances for others’ faults and forgive anyone who offends me. Above all, I must love, and allow Christ’s peace to rule in my heart. I must live in peace and be thankful.
I am grateful for this guidance on how God wants me to live.
Thank you!!
