  1. 1 Tim 6:17-19 jumped out to me today. Don’t trust in money it is unreliable…amen! I struggle to put my trust and security in money and not fully trust God. All I have is given by him and given for my enjoyment. I am to trust him with it all and be generous and focus on doing good to others. This will store up riches of eternal value that are reliable. I am not to be proud of what I have or what I do but rather be humble and generous in all things.

  2. I love how Wendy said to put your own name where it says “Timothy” in 1 Timothy 6:11-12. But you, Debbie, are a woman of God; so run from all evil things. Pursue righteousness and a godly life, along with faith, love, perseverance, and gentleness. Fight the good fight for the true faith.

  3. My Takeaways: Live my life in the godly ways

Something Old: I read parts of three letters today. All with similar themes. I love the way Paul stresses the importance of right teaching and being faithful and good.

Something New: Our world is a sad place. “For the grace of God has been revealed, bringing salvation to all people. And we are instructed to turn from Godless living in sinful pleasures. We should live in this evil world with wisdom, righteousness, and Devotion to God, while we look forward with hope to that wonderful day when the glory of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ will be revealed. He gave his life to free us from every kind of sin, to cleanse us, and to make us his very own people, totally committed to doing good deeds.” (Titus 2:11-14). If I learn everything there is to know about the truth but refuse to live a godly life what good am I? Learning truths should impact my life. I should always evaluate what I have been taught in light of God’s Word. This holds true for my deeds as well.

Something To Do: Pursue faith, love and peace with a pure heart so I can live in the godly way that God desires.
