Just Walk Away

When the Pharisees heard the Jesus had arrived, they came and started to argue with Him. Testing Him, demanding that He show them a miraculous sign from heaven to prove His authority.

My Takeaways

Something Old

Testing and argument come after a big work for the Lord.

Jesus had just healed, cast out demons, and fed thousands.

How to respond to a Pharisee and a Sadducee:

  • Take a deep breath
  • Don’t engage
  • Walk away

Something New

Mark 7:33

Jesus led the man away from the crowd.  Interesting.

This is the first record of Jesus healing the deaf without anything but a touch or a word.  I wonder why He spat on his fingers. Curious.

Something to Do

Be prayed up and ready for the Pharisees.

  2. Wendy! This lesson was so very practical. Haven’t we all been in a “Pharisee & Sadducee” situation???? I think I may need to write the response, “take a deep breath; don’t engage; walk away”” on an index card and keep it with me at all times? Thanks Wendy…..
