My Takeaways

Something Old

Praise Him for:

  • His new grace each day
  • Air conditioning on a hot day
  • A friend who prays for me when she walks in the morning
  • A God who answers her prayers
  • A mind to think and discern
  • Allowing me to be a small part in someone else’s God adventure
  • The amazing privilege and experience of caring for my parents
  • A daughter who is as beautiful inside as she is outside
  • A son who says “whatever—you never know—God could change things”
  • A husband who provides for his family in spite of chronic pain
  • The gift of the Holy Spirit, who intercedes for me when I don’t know what to pray.

Something New

  1. PRAISE HIM: For His son, my life, my family, His word, my faith, my suffering, the Holy Spirit, creation, Everything

    My Takeaways: The Journey Continues

Something Old: The Israelites continue singing their sweet songs as they continue to journey to the temple where they can praise and worship their God.

Something New: As I continue my journey through life I remember who God is and thank him for the earthly family that he provided for me, keeping in mind that he will always be the head of our home as we center our life around Him. My journey will take many twist and turns, people may persecute me, my church and my beliefs, but I will not fear. For my God can not be destroyed, He has overcome! He has conquered sin by sending His son. My journey will always lead to Jesus Christ who loves me enough to forgive me of all my wrong doings when I confess my sins before Him. He holds nothing against me. I will always stay committed to Him. I do not need to prove myself to others when I have Jesus Christ leading my path. He alone is worthy of my praises.I will honor him to the end, on that great day when I see Him face to face when I ascend into His loving arms forever.

Something To Do: Trust God, Obey God, and continue to thank Him for all he has done for me.

    1. YES…..you praise Him for your suffering. This is so hard to do, but so very meaningful for me. So many things to think about in this.

Only able to comment briefly and quickly. I have two of my grandkids overnight (often) and am having a very busy summer….but still checking in daily and scripture reading is a part of my being, I very much appreciate your comments, as always, and am blessed by them!
