TGFABT – Psalm 74
Rewind Until You Get Relief
“But you, God, are my king from old.”
Psalm 74:12
When God is silent and you are in deep anguish get your questions out then press rewind.
Get alone with God:
- Rewind your mind to the great acts of God throughout history
- Rewind what God had done for you.
- Rewind your favorite worship and praise songs.
Get with God. Sit with God. Don’t leave until you feel relieved.
Truth Tuesday
Journal: What truth is God teaching you through Psalm 74?
I need to follow Asaph’s example rather than pressing down my hurts.
Word Study Wednesday
No matter how bad it gets, no matter how long our how longs are we can say with bold confidence
“For God [is] my King of old, working salvation in the midst of the earth.”
Psalm 74:12
For God [Elohim (el-o-heem’)] is my King of old [Qedem (keh’-dem)-eternal, ever(-lasting),forward, old, past] working [Yeshuah (yesh-oo’-aw)- deliverance, health, helping, salvation, save, saving health, welfare] in the midst of the earth.
Isn’t this good news? No. Great news! Our God is our everlasting, past, present, and future King. He is working the deliverance, saving, and health of His children. That’s me. That’s you. That’s great news!
Thankful Thursday
Journal: Tell God something that you are thankful for.
I am thankful for the woman who boldly spoke truth to me at my event last weekend. God brings truth from every direction and it is sharper than a double-edged sword.
Faith Stretching/Strengthening Friday
Journal: How is God stretching/strengthening your faith?
I am being challenged to yield to the truths God has revealed to me.
