Word Study Wednesday

We praise you, God, we praise you, for your Name is near; people tell of your wonderful deeds.” Psalm 75:1

Praise is a generic here. The psalmist is declaring so much more. The word is yadah (yaw-daw’). The obvious is the offering of grateful homage in words or song, as an act of worship. Also included in the definition cast out and confession. Can you picture the praise of cast out and confession our sin as an act of worship and praise. I never thought of confession as means of praise to God.  Well, now that I think of being free is praise worthy.

I love God’s Word! Don’t you? Every syllable has purpose.
