  1. What Are We Repenting Of Right Now?

What a lesson, dear Wendy! Thank you for beginning your week with us in God’s Word! Today something hit me like never before and I hope I can explain it. The phrase “praying without ceasing” came to my mind. When I first read this in the Bible, I wondered how it could be possible. To me, it was impossible, but at the same time I was believing it to be true. I knew God’s Word only spoke truth. No lies. So, in faith I began to ask Him about. I’ve not stopped. Well, I’ve come to see a glimpse over the past 5 years with you Wendy, how this phrase comes true during our days. In our time of need we tend to cling to God more than when we are not in need. We find ourselves so in need of His help constantly.

But, today I saw something new. As you spoke about RESTORE, something hit me. Just like you mentioned, first we need to repent. We need to turn from our sin. Humbly we need to converse with God and admit what it is. As we “turn to Him” = as we “return to the LORD” = God helps us see our selves from His view. It is a process that must be completed over and over and over and over again….because we are human and there is sin within us taking root. But, the aahaa moment for me was…

This “ communion with God, “this conversation with God,” this “song-prayer,” with God, CONTINUALLY throughout our day, – keeps us restored in His presence! ABIDING in HIM comes as we pray without ceasing. Fellowshipping with Him in our heart, in our thoughts, all day long. Focusing on God without ceasing. Letting the Spirit nudge us during our conversations all day long. Being aware of who we are in Christ all day long. Giving up our control to let God have His way with us. Separating ourselves from the world and letting God change us.

It is one act of forgiveness at a time for, each time we seek forgiveness we are restored to fellowship with God.

This “restoration” is what gives us strength to endure. This “restoration” keeps us in the presence of God and revitalizes us to have a deeper faith that God is shepherding us. This “restoration” reinforces to us that we are to trust God knowing He turns evil into good. This “restoration” builds us up in Christ! Finally, this “restoration” is experiencing God all day long which allows us, no matter what we are suffering, to be rejuvenated! God’s Word, living fresh this morning and taking root within us. Love it!

Oh, Dear Father, We thank You for our time, this morning, – together across the miles. We thank You for revealing the Scripture to us and showing us favor. Oh, as we come to You, we can count on Your face to shine down upon us, and reveal more to us. We need Thee every hour today. Teach us how to pray dear Jesus. Show us the sin within us and give us Your eyes to see You in our midst today. Help us to keep Your Word and pray to You all day long, for You have an open door, that invites us right in to Your presence. You are always there waiting. (Rev. 3:8).

    1. Wow!! Well said!! It’s like breathing…..this prayer without ceasing!! I try to remember that each breath I take God gives me and so I’m reminded to just speak little words to Him all day and ask for His nudges as well!! Do I miss his prompting sometimes?…..Yup,but I just ask him to get me back on track and remember “He is not mad at me for my missed steps! Thank you,Wendy!! I so appreciate your devotion and ministry!!! God grant us favor this week as we study revival!

  2. Loved the video and how you brought it so close to our own lives…the reminder that we too go through being defeated and deported and scattered and getting back is only done by returning with our hearts….such good insight today Wendy. Also loved the note that sometimes we get there through our own doing, sometimes it has nothing to do with us. But
