If…

If I could love as she has loved, forgive as she has forgiven, honor my parents as she as honored hers, inspire as she has inspired, love God’s Word as she loves God’s Word, love my husband as she has loved her man, care for my family as she has cared for her family, pray like she prays and has prayed I will have a legacy to leave.

She is my SIC…Sister-In-Christ.  She is Kristi Butler. Look at how beautiful she is:

I would not love Jesus today like I do without loving His Word. I would not love His Word without having a quiet time each morning. I would not know the value of a morning quiet time without this sweet woman.

Her husband was the pastor of the first church Scott and I attended as a married couple. Kristi led the first in-depth Bible study I ever completed. Her genuine and transparent leadership taught me God wanted to be more than a Savior to me, that He want to be part of my life.  Her countenance shined with a deep love for Jesus. (and still does!)

We met 20 years ago. God has orchestrated our lives to be intertwined in 3 different churches in 3 different cities. Her 3 beautiful older daughters babysat both my children. Her youngest daughter and my Griffin as friends.

She continues to be my go-to-friend for prayer, encouragement, to share a praise, talk about a new worship song, and celebrate the glory of the Lord.

Today I will honor her by making a donation to Proverbs 31 Ministries Legacy Campaign. Do you have “Kristi” in your life? Proverbs 31 is giving you the perfect way to honor her.  Simply click on the Legacy button in my sidebar. It is that simple!

Kristi, I love you and am overwhelmed at God’s favor to my life when He brought you into it.
