Day 38

We have these:

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control.Against such things there is no law.” Galatians 5:21-23

if we have:

And Peter said to them, “Repent and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins, and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.” Acts 2:38

Lysa taught us to:

  • Reclaim what is mine
  • Intentionally seek perspective-magnifying opportunities
  • Break away from my everyday routine

For many years I wondered why I dd not have have any fruit. I believed since I did not see them, nor  achieve them, that something was surely wrong with me and I was not one of God special children.

Obedience to God in the little things has taught me how special I am to God. I can’t explain how obedience leads to value in Christ I just know that it does.  Obedience sent me on a quest for truth, the scripture in Galatians is just one beautiful truth I uncovered and I decided to believe. We learn in Acts that any person who has repented of their sin and received God’s forgiveness received the gift of the Holy Spirit and with this gift came fruit.  We don’t have to seem them or achieve them to believe. We have them. It is truth.  All we have to do is:

  • Reclaim what is mine
  • Intentionally seek perspective-magnifying opportunities
  • Break away from my everyday routine

This is only  way we will see the our fruit ripen and multiply. “This is to my Father’s glory, that you bear much fruit, showing yourselves to be my disciples.” John 15:8. Let’s bring Him glory!!!
