The Prophecy Provides: An Everlasting Father

Things change. A friend told me one day the only person who likes change is a baby. Boy, is there big truth in that statement. The older I get the more I like same.

A few years ago change entered my life so fast my head was spinning. My favorite restaurant closed, my “signature” lipstick and foundation make-up was discontinued, my favorite lotion and shampoo were also discontinued. In the middle of my pity paper, no honestly, a girl deserves a pity party with all these going on, right? In the middle of my pity party my Father reminded me that all these things may change but He would never change and that I could always count on Him. It brought me great comfort and security for my future.

Everlasting in our text means: continuing future (of future time),a ncient (of past time), forever (of future time), of continuous existence, forever (of God’s existence). I am not sure this needs much explaining, do you? He is. He was. He is to come. End of story.

Oh, what peace this affords me today. (Singing the hymn again.)
