Tomorrow
Girls, I am so excited about tomorrow. I can hardly wait. Did you know that tomorrow is the day we celebrate the resurrection of our Lord? Of course you did but are you excited about what that means in your life and to your life. He was crucified, he was laid in a tomb, and then he broke the power of sin and death forever through his glorious resurrection. We can celebrate the forgiveness of our past and embrace the hope of our present and our future because of the brilliance of Calvary.
I can’t wait to go to church tomorrow. Not because I have new Easter frock (as my mother-in-law calls it) to wear. I don’t have a new frock by the way. (The cheap-o in me doesn’t buy new Easter clothes.) I am excited because I have the privilege, freedom, and honor of celebrating the day with my sisters and brothers in church. I know we will sing some traditional hymns, you know the ones: He Arose and Christ the Lord is Risen Today. Can you hear them now?
I want to encourage us to prepare our spirit to worship the Risen Lord tomorrow. Spend a little extra time praying, a little extra time praising, and a little more time in His precious Word.
Thanks girls for allowing me to be excited with you this morning. Jesus is our Hope for tomorrow: the day of the Resurrection. Let’s give Him his due praise.
Living and Breathing for His Renown
Will you share what tomorrow means to you?
