Back on the Ground Safe and Sound

The Glory of the Lord surrounded our beautiful hotel in Destin Beach this weekend while His presence filled our sanctuary inside. From the aroma of the roses to the wonder of the worship, He meet us there big time.

I knew due to all the obstacles that were overcome in the planning and preparation of this retreat that it would be something spectacular. I loudly proclaim, “I was right!” I stand amazed at the strongholds that were broken or should I say, the masks that were removed thanks to His glorious power and presence among us.

Girls, I wish I could have walked into Hillcrest this morning wearing my t-shirt with laughter on my lips and joy in my song. (Psalm 126) I have already spoken to Wendi and she told me that a least 8 ladies came to say they had a morning quiet time before church. OK, what about the other 148 of you?

Thank you from the bottom of my heart for inviting me into your warm fellowship. It was blessing in my life that I will never forget. Wendi is sending me photos to post. She sent a few already. I had to post this one. My “smart college friend” (who is teaching me to text) told me that I had to put my toes in the Gulf for her, so on the way out Wendi stopped and let me do that. We even saw a wedding right on the beach. The sand is so white, much more beautiful than the brown sand on the beaches of the Carolinas. I will be posting more photos later.

I just had to write and express my thanks to you all. Wendi is an amazing planner. (you already know that) Thank you to the Prayer Team and all the others who prayed for this event, especially my prayer warriors: great friends, my church staff, my Sunday School class, and of course my amazing husband and kids.

Don’t forget to meet Jesus in your Jesus chair. When you wake up the day has already started and He wants to invite you to participate in His story.

I love you all!
