RTW September 21

Return and Restore

The first of the exiles to return to their property in their former towns were priests, Levites, Temple servants, and other Israelites.
1 Chronicles 9:2

My Takeaways

Something Old

  • God will always keep His promises.
For as many as are the promises of God, in Him they are yes; therefore, also through Him is our Amen to the glory of God through us. (NASB) 2 Corinthians 1:20
  • God will always forgive our sin.
If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. (NIV)  1 John 1:9
  • God will always take us back.
“I give them eternal life, and they will never perish. No one can snatch them away from me.”  John 10:28
  • God will always reconcile with us.
For there is only one God and one Mediator who can reconcile God and humanity–the man Christ Jesus.  1 Timothy 2:5
  • God will always restore us.
And the God of all grace, who called you to his eternal glory in Christ, after you have suffered a little while, will himself restore you and make you strong, firm and steadfast. (NIV)  1 Peter 5:10

Something New

It never occurred to me that the returning exiles would now be one unified nation again.

Something to Do

Praise the One who receives me and restores me. Wow! What a Savior!
