RTW September 14

Who Knows?

“Who knows if perhaps you were made queen for just such a time as this?”
Esther 4:14b

My Takeaways

Something Old

Everyone can experience a “such a time as this moment” with God.

Esther was an orphan, raised by an uncle, reluctant to say, “yes,” to her moment.

How do you know whether this moment is a “such as time as this” moment?

Esther

  • truly trusted Mordecai.
  • knew where to go for support.
  • knew what to do for clear confirmation.
  • was willing to risk her life to obey.

Do I

  • Have someone in my life I truly trust?
  • Know where to go for support?
  • Know how to receive confirmation?

Will I

  • Risk personal harm?

Something New

What an awful life to be queen. (Esther 2:14)

Something to Do

Align myself with the right people, so when and if the time comes, I’ll be ready.

  1. I have always loved the story of Esther. But yes, I was also thinking about the life of a queen…and for Vashti, who only said no and look what happened! A bunch of men sitting around making hasty decisions that affect a ton of people….yikes.
Love how you called him Morty….
