The Road To Self – Destruction

Then why do these people stay on their self-destructive path?
Jeremiah 8:5a

My Takeaways

Something Old

What do I boast about?  (Jeremiah 9:24)

Something New

Why do we stay on this road?

  • Cling tightly to lies, refuse to change.
  • Don’t hear a word of truth.
  • Fail to self-evaluate.
  • No knowledge of God’s laws/ways
  • Listen to twisted teaching

Change is hard, so we get confrontable. Comfortable can be destructive.

Change is constructive.

Something to Do

Avoid the road of self-destruction.

  1. Reading His Word is the first thing I do each morning in my breakfast room, and usually by myself. My husband joins me a little later. This week we have our granddaughters with us. Yesterday the 6 year old asked me if “ I’d listened to the lady yet?”! ?
BTW thanks Wendy for your word today about following others and not God! Preach it!! ❤️

    1. I love your comment about your granddaughter! What a great example you are for her.?

  2. I like to have my quiet time first thing in the morning, before the rat race of life takes over. It helps me in tackling my day, but sometimes it just doesn’t work out that way; no matter how well my intentions are.

  3. Wendy, I appreciate your raw honesty in tackling the issue of false prophets. The Bible needs to be our go-to instead of books and podcasts. Thanks for your faithfulness in teaching the word through RTW. I’ve tried to read the Bible so many times on my own but haven’t come this far. I thank God for using you to be a part of my Bible reading journey.
