Out Of Egypt
When I led your ancestors out of Egypt, it was not burnt offerings and sacrifices I wanted from them.
Jeremiah 7:22
My Takeaways
Something Old
When I leave Egypt-
- Obey God – All will be well
- Move Forward – Submissive is better than stubborn
- Listen to Counsel – Direction will come from many places
- Be Teachable – Know-it-alls never move forward
- Speak the Truth – Truth sets you free
Something New
I can’t imagine God commanding me not to pray for people I love. (Jeremiah 7:16) This would a difficult command to obey.
Something to Do
Live like I left Egypt, even if I’m still in Egypt.
Have you ever wondered where Daniel was when his friends were thrown in the furnance? He must of been sent away to do another job during this time, because I’m sure, had he been there, he too would have be thrown into the furnance. Any way his 3 friends showed great faith. By putting their trust in God He took care of them. “But even if he does not, we want you to know, O king, that we will not serve your gods or worship the image of gold you have set up”. These were very courageous men. When I walk by faith there may be those times of fiery persecution, but I can be assured that He is with me. He will sustain me. He will ultimately deliver me. He will save me … eternally. Knowing this allows me to endure whatever comes my way.
