Lessons From The King

Manasseh was twelve years old when he became king, and he reigned in Jerusalem fifty-five years.
2 Kings 21:1

My Takeaways

Something Old

Am I still as eager to please the Lord as I once was?  (Jeremiah 2:2)

Something New

Lessons from the life of King Manasseh:

  • Don’t rebuild what God brought down.
  • Exile is a form of discipline.
  • It’s impossible to sin beyond the reach of God’s grace.
  • Our sins are forgiven, but the consequences of our sin are not undoable.

Something to Do

  1. Dear Wendy,
Immensely powerful message today from you! “Our sins are forgiven, but the consequences of our sin are not undoable.” I’ve always known this but you say it so well!
