Live Like It
For we are God’s masterpiece, He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago.
Ephesians 2:10
My Takeaways
Something Old
I am God’s masterpiece! You are God’s masterpiece!
Masterpiece begged to be researched, so I did. It was too good not to share.
- a person’s greatest piece of work
- anything done with masterly skill
- a consummate example of skill or excellence of any kind
Something New
How scary!
He is the spirit at work in the hearts of those who refuse to obey God. Ephesians 2:2b
Something to Do
Live like the masterpiece that I am.
Thanks Wendy for today’s lesson. It really blessed my heart today. I want to live like the masterpiece of art that I am. I am a poem, art, a blessing, masterpiece. God created me. I love the book of Ephesians so much, it is my favorite book of the Bible. So glad we are finally on Ephesians 🙂 Thanks for the new insight of what a masterpiece really is.
Thanks Natalie. Hope you are doing well. I love your smile in your profile pic.
You’re welcome Wendy. Yes, I am doing well enjoying the most wonderful time of the year of Christmas. I hope you are doing well too. I have really enjoyed RTW and seeing you everyday. Thanks for saying you love my smile. Lots of people say that I have the most beautiful biggest smile that they have ever seen. I love to smile so much.
Today was another day when I was too sick to concentrate and have a quality quiet time. Thank you for blessing me with some great truth and encouragement.
My Takeaways: What’s Stopping Me From Sharing The Good News?
Something Old: A shipwreck, a snake bite and prison did not keep Paul from forgetting his task to minister to others for the Lord. His life was in God’s hands, and God would protect him until his plan was fulfilled. Paul arrived in Rome and began to preach the gospel just 3 days after he arrived! He wastes no time. He is so focused on preaching the gospel that he makes it happen no matter what. The book of Acts is all about the Holy Spirit working through the lifes of believers in spreading the Good News.
Something New: If I landed in prison my world would be rocked and I would consider that to be the end of the road. I would be more concerned about my well being than the well being of others. My attitude would be poor pitiful me. But, Paul viewed prison as an opportunity to meet people he couldn’t have otherwise, just another way to influence others for the sake of Christ. Paul was faithful to the end. I would do well to pay attention to Paul’s enthusiasm for the gospel. I have the same opportunity today to be a hero like Paul. The message hasn’t changed. It is my responsibility to take the Good News into my world so that many more may hear and believe.
Something To Do: Spread the word and pray that my predestined life in Christ brings pleasure, praise and glory to God.
