What Can We Learn From Church
“Anyone with ears to hear must listen to the Spirit and understand what he is saying to the churches.”
Revelation 3:6
My Takeaways
Something Old
Soiled their clothes with evil is so descriptive. (Rev. 3:4)
As I’m reading about these churches, I can see each one in our modern-day churches.
Something New
- Waning love doesn’t please God. (Ephesus) (Love like we used to.)
- Warfare isn’t to be feared. (Smyrna) (We don’t have to be afraid of suffering.)
- Be warned against immorality and false teaching. (Pergamum/Peragmos)
- Ward off idolatry and immortality by focusing on love, service, faith, and your patience. (Thyatira)
- Wake up… don’t live almost dead. (Sardis) (Live like we used to.)
- When we are weak, still obey. (Philadelphia)
- Warm faith makes God’s sick. (Laodicea)
Something to Do
Learn and live the lessons.
