The River In Me
In my vision, the man brought me back to the entrance of the Temple. There I saw a stream flowing east from beneath the door of the Temple and passing to the right of the altar on its south side.
Ezekiel 47:1
My Takeaways
Something Old
The water was flowing, it was moving not like that of a pond. The Holy Spirit-the living water- is flowing and moving to spread the gospel of Jesus Christ. The living water is in us. We receive it when we believe in him, trusting Him as our savior. The water wells up within us, reach others with the Gospel of Christ. ~ Matthew Henry
Something New
This water
- Saves Life
- Heals
- Preserves Life
- Produces Life
- Resurrects the dead in Christ to life
Something to Do
Don’t stop the flow.
Quench not the Spirit. (KJB) 1 Thessalonians 5:19

Love this song!
The Verses are In this song.
Thanks Debbie for sharing this song!!!!! I have never heard of it before.
Thanks for the song it was beautiful and worth listening to.
Thanks Wendy for this lesson! I really enjoyed it. I love that the Holy Spirit is the river of life and healing and He flows inside of us. And this water will never make me thirsty. I want to be thirsty for God and I want my soul to be satisfied with God like a deer that panteth for the water. I want God to be my only heart’s desire and satisfaction. .
I agree!
My Takeaways: The River of Healing
Something Old: So the book of Ezekiel is done. What started out so depressing ended up so very beautiful! The presence of God left the wicked city of Jerusalem but how beautiful that he returns, keeping all of His promises. “The distance around the entire city will be 6 miles. And from that day the name of the city will be the LORD is There.” – Ezekiel 48:35 I don’t understand in my finite mind what heaven will be like, but one thing I know for sure is that God will be there. I’ll never be separated from him again. The name of the ideal city is “THE LORD IS THERE” a perfect ending for this book. But it’s also the perfect ending for the entire Bible. I have the assurance from scripture that some day I will no longer wonder where God is, I will be with him forever!
Something New: I want to stop and celebrate this truth that I read about today. The truth that God is faithful. The truth that He will fulfill all of His promises to me, to you, and whoever else will put their trust and faith in Him and believe. I’m going to celebrate this great news! I want everyone to know that Jesus Christ is LORD of all. The Living Water that He will provide has immeasurable power to renew, restore, and resurrect life. That’s the God I read about today. “THE LORD IS THERE” and I have the opportunity to join him!
Something To Do: CELEBRATE!
Wendy, I love when you help us make connections between the Old and New Testaments – Ezekiel’s river and the streams of living water in John. “…..Life will flourish wherever this water flows.” Ezekiel 47:9
