  1. My Take Aways: God’s Power for the Powerless

Something Old: So refreshing to know that I’m not alone in my confusement. The reading today was challenging. But I did notice, that the kings who honor and obey the Lord are free from danger and blessed, while the kings that disobey and dishonor the Lord receive His punishment.

Something New: “The Lord will stay with you as long as you stay with Him. Whenever you seek Him, you will find Him. But if you abandon Him, He will abandon you.”
    2 Chronicles 15:2
This doesn’t mean that if I follow God I will never have difficulties in my life or that somehow life will be a bed of roses. But, it does let me know that God is faithful, and He does honor me when I honor Him. God always wins. He rewards me when I’m with Him. Maybe not in this lifetime but in the next. I guess Abraham Lincoln said it best. “We should not ask if God is on our side but rather we should ask if we are on God’s side.”

Something To Do: Always call on God in faith and trust in Him for everything. Become a covenant-keeper. Stay in tune with the Lord.
