The Power of UNforgiveness

Yes, what joy for those whose record the Lord has cleared of guilt, whose lives are lived in complete honesty!
Psalm 32:2

My Takeaways

Something Old

Forgiveness has power but so does unforgiveness.

A few things about forgiveness:

  • We don’t forgive for them; we forgive for us.
  • We are not responsible for their response; we are only responsible for our obedience.
  • We forgive; we have power.

Something New

Unforgiveness has power.

Something to Do

Forgive. Period.

  1. My Takeaways: The importance of prayer

Something Old: Constant communication with God is a must in a Christian’s life, that is why prayer is so very important. David is a man of prayer. These psalms reveals David’s prayers.

    Something New: Psalm 27:1
“The Lord is my light and salvation.” It doesn’t get much better then that. God is Holy, He directs and guides my day to day activity. Because he loves me so much He gave me His Son. My salvation rest in him.I have access to the father through Jesus Christ. God longs for me to have a loving relationship with Him, when everyone else fails me he is always there to pick me up. In closing David says “Wait patiently for the Lord…”That’s the hard part, but I can trust that during the wait God is refreshing, renewing, and teaching me, He Is GOD, I must never forget!

Something To Do: Always remember that God is my light and salvation. Live in God’s presence each day. Pray and seek His guidance in the good times and the bad times-daily. Remember God is love and He is all I need. Wait on Him.
