  1. My Takeaways: Defeated Kings and Conquered Lands

Something Old: My love for Caleb. Don’t you love this guy? He was such a faithful and patient guy. He followed God in every situation. He certainly received God’s blessings. I want to be like Caleb, prepared to follow God in every circumstance, patiently waiting for Him to fulfill His promises and ready to take action when the time is right.

Something New: ” Moses did not assign any allotment of land to the tribe of Levi. Instead, as the LORD had promised them, their allotment came from the offerings burned on the altar to the LORD, the God of Israel.” -Joshua 13:14
A very unique group, the priestly tribe. I think their “no inheritance” was by far the “best inheritance.” They got the LORD God himself. I think as a Christian, I too am spiritually connected to this same unique group. I’m God’s holy priest and I too, have a special inheritance, God himself.Just like the tribe of Levi, when the sacrifices of God became their privileged inheritance. God took me, an unrighteous, sinful person in this world, and made me a part of His family through faith in Jesus Christ. He has showered me with blessings and promised me an eternal inheritance, based on the worthiness of Christ Himself. Everything that God owns belongs to me as well because I belong to Him. My eternal inheritance as a co-heir with Christ is the result of the amazing grace of God. Now that’s one amazing allotment.

Something To Do: Become a Christian! Hear the truth, believe the truth and accept Jesus as God’s son and start receiving the benefits of the inheritance that has be promised to me.
