God will help me accomplish what He commissions.
Look for the miracle in my normal day.

That same day… Joshua kept fighting

Mt Takeaways: God Gives The Victories
Something Old: “… Let the sun stand still over Gibeon, and the moon over the valley of Aijalon.” -Joshua 10:12
God answered Joshua’s pray and performed a true miracle on that day. With God on his side the victory would always be his.
Something New: Johua 11:14-15 “And the Isrealites took all the plunder and livestock of the ravaged towns for themselves. But they killed all the people, leaving no survivors. As the Lord had commanded his servant Moses, so Moses commanded Joshua. And Joshua did as he was told, careful obeying all the commands that the Lord had given to Moses.” This destruction targeted the sinful Canaanites of that time only. As harsh as it may seem to me, the Canaanites brought God’s judgement on themselves by their own sin. Jesus Christ is coming back to judge everyone, one day. He will be a fair judge. Because of his wonderful grace he will extend his forgiveness to those who trust and obey, but his judgement on the wicked will remain the same as it did with the Canaanites. Is this not exactly what God did during Noah’s time? God always protects his people, but those who are not his, look out!
Something To Do: Remember the cross. Remember Jesus loves me and He is the only way. Believe, receive and accept. The day of judgement will come and yes, I’ll be ready with open arms.
God, thank you for your continual guidance even when I don’t listen. Please forgive me. I do want to hear and obey. What do You commission me to do today? Help me to look for the miracle in my normal day. Amen
