The Master Inspector
The owner of such a house must then go to the priest and say, ‘It appears that my house has some kind of mildew.’
Leviticus 14:35
My Takeaways
Something Old
The way to my promised land may be one wilderness experience after another, but I will make it. God was faithful to the Israelites; He will be faithful to me…I must be faithful to Him.
Leviticus 14:34
When we arrive in Canaan…not if.
Something New
ra‘ah (raw’aw): to see, look at, inspect, perceive, and consider.
God look carefully at or over; view closely and critically:
Restoration: the act of restoring [action-it is a process-does not happen all at once] renewal, revival, or reestablishment.
We have to approach the priest. Our High Priest is Jesus. (Hebrews 4:14)
Here’s a start:
Investigate my life, O God, find out everything about me; Cross-examine and test me, get a clear picture of what I’m about; See for yourself whether I’ve done anything wrong then guide me on the road to eternal life. (MSG)
Psalm 139: 23-24
Something to Do
Be willing approach the priest, and to face our contamination.
My Takeaways: The fi
I love this, such a great picture of the work God does in us.
And thank you, Wendy, for your words about enduring through the wilderness. It has been 7 long years for me in some fiery trials. I feel there is a breakthrough coming, because things are getting almost unbearably difficult. Enduring is hard. Thanks for the needed encouragement.
My Takeaways: Thank you God for sending us a Savior. My sins are no longer “covered” but removed forever!
Something Old:
Sin had to be dealt with. Sin is serious buisness. More laws, sacrifices, and understanding of what is clean and unclean. Its easy to get lost in all these rituals.
Something New:
Leviticus 16:15-34 what a beautiful picture of our Lord Jesus Christ. He is the High Priest, that makes reconciliation for our sins. He is the Sacrifice with which atonement is made; for he is the way to God.The slain goat- Jesus dying for our sins. The live goat rising for our justification. By putting the sins of all the Israelites upon the head of the goat, the atonement was completed. The goat was sent away carry all their sins with him. Jesus Christ took away the sins of the world on Calvery. Leviticus continues to serve me a constant reminder of the person and work of Jesus Christ.
Something To Do:
Never forget what Christ has done for me. Know and realize the seriousness of my sins. Come to Jesus daily.
