Every now and then God puts someone in your life who profoundly changes it…for the better.

I think of the Bible that sat on her desk. Leather cover worn almost completely through and the corners bent, tattered, and torn. The binding pulled apart from the spine and chucks of pages falling out. The pages covered with words written in pen, pencil, colored pens, and various colors of highlighter. The Bible was falling apart and inside, she felt she was too.

We who love her most saw her smiles. Experienced her love and encouragement but didn’t know the depth of her struggles. She kept those between her and her Great God. Through the struggles she became a prayer warrior like I’ve never known.

Her life, like her Bible was barely being held together. She had her God, His Word, and prayer. And with these she survived what would have taken most under.

I know that I am being vague but that is the way she wants it because the story, her story is not about her at all, it is about her God.
