AMEN
Very timely – thank you Wendy. We hope to get the results of the biopsies of the mass in my husband’s left lung later today, so I am shouting out His name.
Thanks Wendy. Tthis is an Amazing video. Praise God! Thankful I can shout his name!
I so love to praise God – love the songs you put up.
I so enjoyed praising God! Thank you. 🙂
I love the beautiful music partnered with such powerful words and the picturesque backdrop of the different seasons of the year. I know I can take refuge and joy and praise Him through all the “seasons” of my life!
Amen! Love to worship our Lord in song! Thanks for sharing and inspiring!
Wendy,
I live your devotionals through idisciple. I am asking you to pray for me. I lost my job a year and a half ago. I haven’t been able to find a full time job. I’m currently working part time at Family Christian Bookstore. I enjoy my job but it doesn’t pay the bills. I may lose my house if things don’t turn around soon. Please pray for me to find a good job.
Thanks,
Kathy
If I Have to Fold One More Piece of Laundry …
Thanks for the above titled message on Proverbs 31 today. I find myself grumbling a lot because I feel the chores are too much for me to do alone. However I have been touched by your message today and will like a change. I work full time and commute, I have small children (though I am teaching them to help with chores). I do almost all the chores in the house alone, I hardly find time to rest even over the weekend. How do I change my attitude if I feel that I am always burnt out as I don’t get help from my husband. Though the fact is I really want to change.
If I may reply to “D” please,
Burnout comes when we do everything ourselves. Like Wendy says in her devotional,
“Sometimes it would have been easier for me to do her chores rather than train her to adjust her attitude” ( – See more at: http://proverbs31.org/devotions/devo/#sthash.CldjzHC9.dpuf )
Ask the Lord to give you strategy and determination to be consistent in what He shows you to implement your children’s help with the chores. Its important for them to learn responsibility at a young age. And pray that God would put it on your husbands heart to help with something significant, if nothing but authoritive and moral support with the children’s help. If you don’t get the kind of help you were looking for from your husband, don’t look at it as unanswered prayer, but as, what is the lesson I am to embrace here!
Believe that God does hear your prayers and wants to bless you. You are Very Special to Him!
Carolyn,
Thanks for your encouragement and positive spin on my comment. All taken on board.
