Hi Wendy as I read your article today I wanted to share that for me the easiest way to have my Bible with me at all times is to have the version of the Bible that I read in print on my phone. That way I never have to worry about forgetting to take it anywhere with me since I normally try not to leave home without my phone. It also means that the Word of God is readily at hand whenever I am reaching out to others because if I need to I can read directly from the Scriptures to them. Because I have a smart phone I also receive my email on my phone which means that every morning the first thing that I do is pick up my phone which is by my bedside charging and read all of the various emails that I would receive from the various websites that I subscribe to such as Proverbs 31 for daily encouragement and perspective.
Morning Wendy! Watching your video this morning brought me back to your Psalms bible study! How I loved that!
What a great reminder: “when we pause in the morning with God, we can pause in the moment when we need God the most.”
Thank you for the encouragement!
Blessings, Lynne
Wendy, 44 years ago I was challenged to spend 5 minutes in the Word. At the time, my four children were small and I didn’t have time to spare, but I decided to give it a try. As you said the 5 minutes grew to more and more time with my Lord through His Word, prayer, and writing my prayers and many time His thoughts to me. I began to have that intimate relationship that I desperately needed. Even today, I reread those prayers/writings and am blessed to see what God has accomplished in me over the years.
I don’t have a smart phone and am unable to receive emails, etc. on the cell phone that I have. At age 85+, do I need more technical gadgets? Something I need to seek the Lord about. 🙂
Love and blessings to you dear Wendy.

I fell in love with God’s Word when I started RTW with you, Wendy Pope! I wouldn’t say that I loved and understood all of God’s Word. However, after 5 1/2 years, I love, love, love His word. His Word has changed my life; I want more and more of His Word in my life. I want to continually grow, and that is why at 65 years old, I read the devotionals from Proverbs, I read Lysa’s books and take part in studies— I love Wendy Blight as the studies I have done with her have helped to understand more and to be anxious for her next study!!!!! She has always emailed me every time I have had a concern or a question about my relationship with God.
I don’t have a smart phone, but my adult children tell me I must get one SO THAT I can be a part of “the first five”!!! Now that I know about your plans for July, I am inspired to make that purchase.
Praising God for each of you gals in the Proverbs 31 ministry!!! May God be glorified and honored in your efforts for Him.
