We Must Tell

We will not hide them from their children; we will tell the next generation the praiseworthy deed of the LORD, His power, and the wonders He had done.”
Psalm 78:4

What must we tell?

  • Put your trust in God
  • Don’t forget His deeds
  • Keep His commands

Why must we tell?

  • So others will put their trust in God
  • So others don’t forget His deeds
  • So others will keep His commands

In addition to being stubborn, rebellious, disloyal, and unfaithful, the Israelites did not believe or trust God.

V22 – for they did not believe in God or trust in His deliverance.

V32 – In spite of all this, they kept on sinning; in spite of his wonders, they did not believe.

What do these verses have in common?

They did not believe in God.

Believe: aman (aw-man’)

To build up or support; to foster as a parent or nurse; figuratively to render (or be) firm or faithful, to trust or believe, to be permanent or quiet; morally to be true or certain; once

That is, in his fatherly providence, by which he cares for his, and provides sufficiently.

He proved Himself over and over as a believable and trustworthy Heavenly Father, yet they still did not believe or trust Him.
