Our Beautiful Flag
We started our worship by singing, “Your Love is Better than Life” then we pledged our beautiful flag followed by “God Bless America.” We honored our veterans and those who have lost a loved providing freedom to our country. We ended worship by praising the man by which all freedom comes, Jesus, by singing “Jesus Saves.”
I came home to see our beautiful flag in each hole at the Colonial Country Club in Forth Worth, Texas. At 6:00pm our National Anthem was sung to begin the Coca Cola 600. Our beautiful flag filled the stands and covered the front straight away.
So pretty much I cried all day. Honestly, I tear up every time I drive by a Hendrix Chevrolet Cadillac and see our beautiful flag whipping in the wind. I love our great county!
It overwhelms to think of our founding fathers and everything thing they sacrificed so I can live in this great country. It overwhelms to think of the men and women who voluntarily keep me safe. It overwhelms today to remember and think of the families who paid the ultimate sacrifice for me.
The cross and the flag–both overwhelm. One who died for all, many who died for many.
Today and everyday I am proud to be an American.

Wendy, what beautiful heartfelt words you write. Amen to them!
Your lessons have been good for the spring study. I have enjoyed them. I have the ebook on Trusting God for a Better Tomorrow. How do I go about purchasing the videos and other materials for the Psalms 1-41 class that I can work on this summer. Your videos and lesson sheets have been very helpful. The lesson you did today on Psalm 69 was very helpful to me.
