Use Me

I always find solace when I discover a scripture that shows me I God can lover a sinner like me.

1 Kings 9:4

“As for you, if you will follow me with integrity and godliness, as David you father did..”

As I read through the beautiful and poetic psalms, it is so easy for me forget David’s sin (1 Samuel 11). This man after God’s on heart (Acts 13:22) committed adultery then had the woman’s husband killed on the front line of battle. Yet God, when talking to Solomon about David’s faith, could only say good. He completely forgave the sin, not counting it against him, and called David godly and full of integrity.

Girls, just because we sin, doesn’t mean we can’t be women after God’s heart. We must not count our sin against us. No one is Christ is condemned (Romans 8:1) not you and not me. If God could still us David after he sinned, He can still use me. He can still use you.

Let’s surrender to this truth and be Kingdom-minded rather than self-minded.
