Ouch!

Day 55

Honestly, I am sure will be able to add any wisdom at all to today’s devotion. I believe it is my job to heed the wisdom and pray to become a “love-him” wife. Enough said there.  My spirit ears hear clearly.

  1. Is this an irritation or an issue?
  2. Am I praying about my husband or for my husband?
  3. Where is my focus?

As I reflect on these questions I can see their value in other relationships, you know, those “sandpaper people.” Sandpaper people are rough, not very flexible, and extremely abrasive. But reflecting upon the dictionary’s meaning of sandpaper I can see real value in having sandpaper people in my life.

The purpose for sandpaper is to polish and grind until smooth. When I retaliate against or resist the sandpaper people in my life I miss opportunities to be polished and smooth so others can see the reflection of Christ in my shine.

The question I have to ask myself is: Am I willing to invest time on my knees to ask God these tough questions then accept and put into action what He tells me?
