Right Investing

Thank you so much for your patience with today’s post. We start our Spring Bible Study Monday and the Spring Study membership page is having major login problems.  I would appreciate your prayers.

Day 23

Psalm 100:4
“Enter His gates with thanksgiving and His courts with praise; give thanks to Him and praise His name.”

Another timely message for me.  Can I get a witness?

In the waking minutes in the first few days of January my heart and mind recited this verse.  Before my eyes even opened I could feel my face smiling. I could picture myself walking, no skipping through God’s gates, down His courts to His throne. Before my feet hit floor I was recounting the things for which I was most thankful.

Through our thankfulness we recognize our Blesser. Through our thankfulness we become aware of the importance of being a blessing, investing in others as Christ has invested in us.

The key verse from our devotion today (Matthew 6:19-21)  reminds us to invest in people, not possessions, positions, or power. None of these last. They fade, fail, and spoil, leaving us wanting more.

Today, enter His gates with thankgiving and His courts with praise. Write down things for which you are thankful. In your thanksgiving ask God to show you how you can be giver and where you can invest in things that will not rot, be stolen, or eaten by moths or vermin.

For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.” Lord, I pray you find my heart pleasing in your sight.
