Do I really want to know?

Day 39

Do we really want to know? If we ask God such a question we better be ready for the truth.  He is Truth.  His Word is truth. All He knows is truth. If you don’t want the truth, don’t ask.

Truth is freedom. It may be painful but the pain brings purification in your mind, body, soul, and spirit. I can’t explain it. I just know it. Dare to ask God “What am I doing?” He is for you. He wants to give you abundantly more than you can think or imagine. He wants to complete the good work He began in you. He wants you to live victoriously.

All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.” 2 Timothy 3:16-17

Truth is equipping. It brings about correcting and training to be more Christ-like. It prepares us for good work.

Jack Nicholson said in the movie A Few Good Men, “You can’t handle the truth.” Let me say God is gracious and merciful giving only what we can handle. Little by little He answers “what I am doing wrong” with gentleness and kindness, with conviction, not shame.

The truth is waiting to be set free in our lives.  Do we really want to know?

  1. I have battled with “TRUTH” in a certain area in my life. I prayed and turn it over to GOD. It is amazing what he can and will do when we are obedient.

  2. The truth can b crushing and rock whatever foundation you think you have if that foundation is not Christ. He is faithful to not reveal more than we can handle
