Weakness is Strength

Day 34

There is purpose in weakness. Like many things that God does in our lives we might not see the purpose right away, but can rest assured there is one.

I believe the purpose for my weakness is to see Christ’s strength. When I have a moment of weakness and pause to yield to His truth I feel strong. The strength does not change my circumstances as much as it changes my responses in my circumstance. The strength builds confidence to store in my memory bank for future conflicts and unglued moments. The “I can’t” moments of weakness transform to “I can” because of Christ in me.

Romans 8:26, “In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groans that words cannot express” has become one of my favorite verses. How great of God to provide  someone to guide and direct us as well as  pray for us when we have no idea what to pray or are so weak we can’t.

We can read 26 without 27.

And He who searches our hearts knows the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for the saints in accordance with God’s will.”
Girls, He searches our hearts.  He knows the mind of the Spirit. He intercedes in agreement with God’s will. So I ask, “Why are we upset when we feel weak? We can come to Him just as we are and let His Spirit do His work.
