The Much Better Plan

“Physical training is good but training for godliness is much better, promising benefits in this life and in the life to come.”
1 Timothy 4:8

My Take Aways

Something Old

Physical appearance disappears and good health deteriorates.  The opposite is true about godliness.

Godliness is permanent,  lasting, and has benefits that will not fade with time.

Pursuing godliness profits our spiritual health as well as physical health.

It brings:

  • peace and direction which reduces anxieties.
  • joy and contentment which promotes good mental health.
  • hope and life which reduces tension.

The “much better” plan starts with knowing God and His Word.  Slow and steady pace wins the race.

Something New

There is a relationship between my spiritual health and physical health.

Something to Do

Devote myself to the “much better” training program.
