Measurements
Our God is such an exact, precise, and orderly god, isn’t He? One of my favorite portions of today’s reading were the 1/4, 1/2, and 3/4 measurements. The same God who spoke the world into place cares about a 1/2 inch measurement. We read all this information when the Temple was originally built the first time, but today I read it differently. He is so exact, with everything He does. I just love that about Him. Reading this measurements builds my faith in Him because I am His Temple.
Our bodies are the Temple or dwelling place of the Holy Spirit-the Living God. Saying those words gives me holy-goose bumps!
Don’t you know that you yourselves are God’s temple and that God’s Spirit lives in you?

Having this information makes the following verses come alive. I might have to be like my friend Micca and stand in my chair to do the Jesus dance:
After this, the man brought me back around to the east gateway. Suddenly, the glory of the God of Israel appeared from the east. The sound of his coming was like the roar of rushing waters, and the whole landscape shone with his glory. This vision was just like the others I had seen, first by the Kebar River and then when he came to destroy Jerusalem. I fell face down on the ground. And the glory of the Lord came into the Temple through the east gateway.

Oh, dear Jesus, Holy One of Heaven, let Your glory fill me today! Be as exact and precise with me as you were with the Solomon’s temple
