RTW May 25

Hey Girls-

I wanted to hop on today and tell how much I miss you. I’ve been really struggling with my health this week. Little did I know that Tuesday’s dinner would be the last meal I would eat this week.

Fevers, chills, endless trips to the bathroom, and sleepless nights have been my life. I’m not a “run-to-the-doctor” girl, but today I had no choice. My doctor is running some tests (I’ll spare you the details.). In the meantime, he started me on some meds that hopefully will put some peep back in my step, enable me keep food in my body, and help me get back to the things I love… my family and RTW.

Thank you for extending grace while we run archive teachings, first with my dad’s hospitalization and now this. Please know, I would be teaching if I could. Right now, it’s very difficult to put together sentences that make sense, much-less teach.

Thank you also for your prayers. You mean so much to me.

Praying I’ll see you real soon.

Living the Life

So, King Solomon became richer and wiser than any other king on earth.
1 Kings 10:23

My Takeaways

Something Old

Live the life  Jesus died for me live.

Something New

Solomon’s prayer for wisdom was answered.

People from every nation came to consult him and to hear the wisdom God had given him.
1 Kings 8:24

“The thief’s purpose is to steal and kill and destroy. My purpose is to give them a rich and satisfying life.”  John 10:10 (NLT)

Life in verse 10 is not physical life.

Zao: life real and genuine, a life active and vigorous, devoted to God, blessed, in the portion even in this world of those who put their trust in Christ.

Abundantly/Satisfying is defined as superior, extraordinary, surpassing, uncommon pre-eminence, superiority, advantage, more eminent, more remarkable, more excellent.

Something to Do

Thank you, God, for the superior, extraordinary, and more eminent life.

  1. Wendy, we are just fine listening to the archived lessons?. Right now you just need to take care of yourself. Your body is trying to tell you to slow down. So take your meds, rest and let your sweet family take care of you. Love you dearly, Joy❤️

  2. The Queen of Sheba was so impressed with King Solomon. She traveled for miles to see for herself if the rumors she heard we’re true. When she saw it for herself she knew who to give the credit to. She knew only God could provide like that. Solomon knew that too, at least at the beginning- but what happened? He soon got big headed and became more interested in building his own kingdom instead of building for the kingdom of God. Solomon had a tremendous platform from which to glorify the Lord but he used it, instead, to glorify himself. Marrying an Egyptian? Was that just to gain a military alliance with Egypt? Wait wasn’t that against God’s Law? (Deuteronomy 7:3-4). Making an ivory throne for himself. Building up a huge force of chariots and horses, really? After my reading today I had to pause and ask myself what am I doing with the platforms and opportunities that God has provided for me? Am I using using them to draw attention to my heavenly father or myself?
