RTW December 25

The Christmas Sacrifice

God showed how much He loved us by sending His one and only Son into the world so that we might have eternal life through Him. This is real love-not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son as a sacrifice to take away our sins.
1 John 4:9-10

Something Old

The Best Thing About Christmas! (1998) by Christine Harder Tangvald

This is love. This is the Christmas story. God loved us first, before we even had life (physical life). He loves us enough to make provisions for our eternity.

Thank you, God.

Thank you, Jesus.

Thank you, Mary and Joseph.

The best thing about Christmas is Jesus!

  1. Merry Christmas! Thank you so much for sharing! Amen! I have no kids but am going to order this for my young (step) Grandchildren that live in Oregon so their mommy can share with them next Christmas. God bless you and your family.

  2. Thank you Wendy, for sharing your wonderful tradition with us. LOVE the book and the reminder to all of us that Jesus is the best part of Christmas! Merry Christmas!

  3. I am catching up but I loved the story even though Christmas is over now. I love how you read to us. Thank you for that!! It is good to be reminded that Christmas is all about Jesus. Off course the other things are also great: spending time with loved ones, preparing good food, playing games together, laughing and exchanging presents. But in the end, the most important thing to remember is that it is all about Jesus and the sacrifice he made….
