Confronting Others
I’m not trying to frighten you by my letters.
2 Corinthians 10:9
My Takeaways
Something Old
People were calling Paul weak in presence, but demanding in his letters. (2 Corinthians 10:10) People will say untrue and hurtful things about us.
- We knock down human reasoning.
- We destroy every proud obstacle that keeps us from knowing God.
- We capture rebellious thoughts and teach them to obey Christ.
How? With Truth.. the only Truth.
Something New
The Corinthian Christians tended to rely on and admire carnal weapons for the Christian battle:
- Instead of the belt of truth, they fought with manipulation
- Instead of the breastplate of righteousness, they fought with the image of success
- Instead of the shoes of the gospel, they fought with smooth words
- Instead of the shield of faith, they fought with the perception of power
- Instead of the helmet of salvation, they fought with lording over authority
- Instead of the sword of the Spirit, they fought with human schemes and programs

Something to Do
Diffuse the demonic with the Truth… Know the Truth.
2 Cor 6:16-18 is what hit me today. I am the temple of the living God. This should effect how I’m living. I loved the quotes verses from 2 Sam 7:14. God says he will live and walk with me and be my God. I am to separate myself from the world and filthy things. He will be my father and I his daughter. In light of these truths I am to work toward complete holiness before God (7:1).
Knowing the truth prepares me to face the world. I’m truly grateful for the Word! Also grateful for Wendy and the RTW family!❤️
Something Old: Satan wants to keep me from God, but I can fight sin and the evil one with the right weapons.
Something New: 2 Cor.10:3-6 was my focus today. I am a mere mortal, but God is God and through my relationship with His son I get to have access to His weapons. Who needs this world’s weapons when I have Gods weapons available to me. So what are God’s mighty weapons?
His strength, His grace, His forgiveness, His miracles, His Son, His word and His love. These are the only weapons I need in my arsenal to knock down the Devil’s strongholds in my life and in the life’s of others. But how do I access God’s mighty weapons? Through the power of pray and faith. Prayer is a beautiful mystery. I need it like the air I breathe.Through reading and studying God’s Word daily. Knowing truth sets me free. Through fellowship in a church community. My church family keeps me in check. Through confessing and repenting and fleeing from sin. God knows my heart. Then, with God’s weapons I can introduce others to who God is and teach them to obey Christ. I don’t want to waste time. I must access God’s mighty weapons today. Relying on my human plans and methods, to make it through the day won’t cut it.
Something To Do: Pray for God’s Mighty Weapons
Hey girls, I got behind in my reading this week, but for a good reason. Guess what? I’m a grandma again. My sweet grandson, Valor Scott Kennedy came into this world on Nov. 28. Weighing in at 8 lbs 7 oz. Giving me the opportunity to take care of his brothers, Titus Scott and Armor Scott. And guess what else? There are more coming. I’ll be blessed again on Jan. 4 and again on Feb. 16, God willing. Then I’ll have a total of 10. 10 beautiful blessings. Now that’s music to my ears and I’m smiling from ear to ear!
Congrats!! That’s wonderful news!!
Rejoicing with you and thanking God right now for each and every one of them!
