  1. God has been challenging me with Gal 5 & 6 over the last few months. As I read it through today gal 6:7-10 is what jumped out to me. “You will always harvest what you plant.” I so desire to stop satisfying my sinful nature…anger, selfishness, pride etc. I desire to be loving and gracious and gentle. These verses made it so clear. If I want a different harvest I have to start planting a different seed! I need to start at the beginning process in order to get a different end result. Seems so basic but I’ve been missing that connection. I need to not give up in doing good and press on to plant what the spirit desires so I stop harvesting death and decay (vs8) and harvest life and love.

  2. My Takeaways: Changed from the inside out

Something Old: In todays reading Paul continued to reiterate the wrong in following the Jewish regulations in order to be saved from sin. Reminding me again today how important it is for others to see that I am a child of God. When others watch me or listen to me, I want them to know that I am under the influence of the Holy Spirit and that I am genuinely seeking to live a life worthy of the One who saved me. I never want to be sending mixed messages that cause others to wonder about my salvation. I want the fruit in my life to be the evidence that allow others to know that I am a Christian.

Something New: Galatians 6:15 “It doesn’t matter whether we have been circumcised or not. What counts is whether we have been transformed into a new creation.”
In other words, it’s not about a change to one part of the body, it’s about what God does in the heart to make a person brand new in Christ. I must be changed from the inside out. Living for Christ and serving Him as He desires.

Something To Do: Live a life that shows that I and all Christians are one in Christ Jesus.

  3. ❤️Things I love from today’s reading:
Galatians 5:1 “So Christ has truly set us free.”
Galatians 5:6, the second sentence “What is important is faith expressing itself in love.”
Galatians 5:14 “For the whole law can be summed up in this one command: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself’”
Galatians 5:16 “So I say, let the Holy Spirit guide your lives.”
Galatians 6:9 “So let’s not get tired of doing what is good. At just the right time we will reap a harvest of blessing if we don’t give up.”
