I AM Thine Part
And the LORD said to Aaron, “You priests will receive no allotment of land or share of property [portion] among the people of Israel. I am your share [inheritance] and your allotment.”
Numbers 18:20
My Takeaways
Something Old
But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s special possession, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light. Once you were not a people, but now you are the people of God; once you had not received mercy, but now you have received mercy. (NIV) 1 Peter 2:9-10
- My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever. Psalm 73:26
- You are my portion, LORD; I have promised to obey your words. (NIV) Psalm 119:57
- I cry to you, LORD; I say, “You are my refuge, my portion in the land of the living.” (NIV) Psalm 142:5
Something New
“I am thine part.” This means so much to me today!
Something to Do
Say aloud, “I am thine part” and believe it.

Amen Sister! Preach on!
While my heart hurts with brokenness, I will hang onto my portion – to You Lord! My cup is indeed full. Great message this morning Wendy!
Amen Wendy 🙂 Awesome Lesson! My heart and flesh may fail, but my God never fails and He is my portion. He makes me full to the top and not empty. This lesson reminds me of the song Give me Faith by Elevation Worship it talks about how our flesh my fail but God never will and that we may be weak but the Spirit makes us strong inside. I am thine part I love it 🙂
My Takeaways: Jealousy, pride and rebellion brings harm to Korah and others.
Something Old: The Israelite continue to complain and rebel just as I – as a Christian- do today. I worry more about my physical conditions instead of my spiritual conditions. I continue to make those same mistakes today. Thank you God for sending a Savior my way. Thank you for giving me your Spirit to guide and lead me in the right directions.
Something New: Numbers 17:8 “When he went into the Tabernacle of the Covenant the next day, he found that Aaron’s staff, representing the tribe of Levi, had sprouted, budded, blossomed, and produced ripe almonds!”
Aaron’s rod that budded was a picture of Christ as the life giver of the tribe of all believers, because He as our High Priest was giving His blood behind the veil. Aaron’s rod became a symbol of the Atonement. Christ became the giver of Life to those for whom He died on the Cross of Calvary.
Something To Do: Remember that I am a sinner. But I will not die in my sins. Christ has risen from the dead, and all my sins have been taken away, so that I won’t die. God has a passionate desire to be with me. Christ is and has to be my greatest desire in this life. Jesus said, “He who does not take up his cross and follow Me, is not worthy of Me,”
How great is my love? How deep does my love go for my Lord Jesus Christ? Am I willing to give Him my all, like He has done for me? The answer has to be Yes, or I might find myself in the same place as those 14,700 people- separated from God forever.
