Something To Do
Pray for us.
This was really a light bulb moment for me! Reading Psalm 90 after Duet. 32 made it so much more meaningful! I have loved getting to know Moses and his heart for God’s people.
Heavenly Father!
from beginning to end, you are God. 12 Teach us to realize the brevity of life, so that we may grow in wisdom.14 Satisfy us each morning with your unfailing live, so we may sing for joy to the end of our lives. 15 Give us gladness in proportion to our former misery! Replace the evil years with good.
I believe that God will do just that! Replace, Redeem and Restore all the evil for good!
Wow I love the Chronological bible so much. I love how Psalm 90 is included in the reading after Deuteronomy. I never knew that Moses wrote a Psalm. I am going to have to read this Psalm aloud and see if it is more meaningful for me. I love the Psalms.
My Takeaways: Joshua will lead the people
Something Old: Moses life is about over
Something New: I’m still always so surprised that God chose Joshua to lead the people. I always thought Caleb was the great one. Shows what I know. My picks seem to always be the opposite of who God chooses. Also I often wonder why God didn’t chose one of Moses sons. I thought that’s what they did back then. His sons obviously didn’t display the faith that Joshua did.
Something To Do: I need to know the word well enough so I can teach it to new believers. I need to show young believers how to follow God’s ways, like Moses did. I must make a constant effort to apply God’s word to my life and pass it on to my family and others.God will lead me, I must trust Him.
