TGFABT – Psalm 21
I Shall Not Be Shaken
“For the king trusts in the Lord; through the unfailing love of the Most High he will not be shaken.”
Psalm 21:7

It is not through our trust that we will not be shaken it is through His (God’s) unfailing love that we will not be shaken.
- Our “not be shaken” is not a result of our work, our faith, or our doing for the Lord.
- Our “not be shaken” is a by-product of God’s love for us.
Girls, I included a new favorite song. It is by David Crowder and fits perfectly with God’s message for us today.
“Oh, how He love us, Oh. He is jealous for me.”

How are you doing with our Psalm 19:14 month long assignment?
Pray verse 14
“May the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be pleasing in your sight, O Lord, my Rock and my Redeemer.”
It is not through our trust that we will not be shaken it is through His (God’s) unfailing love that we will not be shaken.
- Our “not be shaken” is not a result of our work, our faith, or our doing for the Lord.
- Our “not be shaken” is a by-product of God’s love for us.
Truth Tuesday
My truth for week:
My “not be shaken” is not a result of my work or what I do for God.
My “not be shaken” is a by-product of God’s love for me.
I thought of the song I could not think of yesterday. It is on oldie but goodie- “Oh How He Loves You and Me.”
Word Study
“For the king trusts in the Lord; through the unfailing love of the Most High he will not be shaken.“
Psalm 21:7
It goes without saying our word study is trust. There is nothing I can do to make myself experience true security and to feel confident. My security, safety, and well-being is all because of the Lord, the Most High God.
Trust– batach (baw-takh’) 982
- to trust to have confidence, be confident to be bold
- to be secure
- to cause to trust, make secure
- to feel safe, be careless
Trust (Dictionary.com)

- confident expectation of something; hope
Pray verse 14
“May the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be pleasing in your sight, O Lord, my Rock and my Redeemer.”
Thankful Thursday
I am thankful my stability does not rest on my shoulders. So thankful for the Lord’s unfailing love for me. He continues to give it even when I don’t deserve it.
Faith Stretching/Strengthening
I am challenged to be patient with things that are out of my control.
Great message this morning! It is so easy as Wendy says to get caught up in circumstances instead of resting in the Lord’s unfailing love and not be shaken (moved). Wonderful verse to meditate on this week.
Praise the Lord that he answers prayer! I would love to hear David’s psalms with the music!
Today’s message was truly one I needed to hear. It’s so relieving to know that Gods love for me is unshakeable. Wendy’s enthusiam is a glorious sight!
Truth Tuesday, We do not always understand his ways, but you can always trust his work. There are days recently that I need reminded of this.
I looked at the cross references for verse 7 and notice security is ours because of God’s unfailing love as demonstrated in Psalm 21. This is very unlike 10:6 where the wicked says in his pride “I shall not be moved.” In reality, he has no assurance and security to make a statement like this. Thanking God for His unfailing love and for my security which is based on His love!
Just had the opportunity to listen to Wendy this week. I often need to be reminded that my trust should be in the Lord alone and He works all things for His glory and my good.
Trust is a huge word. I always say when a person loses someone’s trust it is hard to gain it back. I know my trust in the Lord is something I never want to lose. I trust in him through all things even when I don’t understand the whys.
Thankful that God provides his light through this beautiful week of warmth and sunshine! Our God is an awesome God!
Doesn’t the sunshine make such a big difference?!!!
Love that David rejoices in the Lord’s strength and finds joy in his salvation! I am thankful that we don’t have to rely on our strength to bring us through difficult situations.
