  1. Wendy,
I am so excited to sign up with you to do this book study. It’s a great subject we can all relate to. I am anxious to hear what God has shared with you on this subject. ?

Whoever cuts your hair does a great job. Your hair has grown out so nicely! I think it looks great. It’s a good length on you and frames your face.

    Have a blessed day!
    Pam

  2. I am an 83 year old great grandmother and sometimes look back on my life and wonder how God would define me. I see so much failure in my life. And feel like shouting out to the younger generations that serving our saviour is the most important thing we can do in this life and not get into the world thinking we have to match what others are doing or having. I truly enjoyed reading your post this morning on the Proverbs 31 Post.

  3. Hi Wendy. I had a brief melt down last night. I trusted one of my adult children to follow through with a promise she made without verifying that it actually happened, and since it did not, I wound up in a very uncomfortable place in my relationship with my husband. I found myself feeling like everything I have been able to accomplish over the past several years as I have been pursuing recovery from some major difficulties (cognitive decline, complex PTSD, and the mental health issues that accompany these problems) has all been for nothing, since I did not think to verify and instead chose to trust. I am too gullible. I do not know how to make myself think about things that I do not remember to think about at the time. How can I change this? Why do I keep on allowing these things to happen? This morning, I was able to see why – because when a person grows up in a family system where it is necessary to trust people who abuse and take advantage of young children, that person adopts gullibility in order to survive within that type of family structure. As for how to stop doing it now, I do not have an easy answer, except to keep on working on my recovery, and keep on working out my salvation with courage and diligence. Your devotional really helped to reinforce the truths that I know, deep down inside, about my situation. The truths that you have reminded me of will help me to respond as a mature, responsible adult when we all sit down this evening and talk about what happened, and what we can do in the future to prevent this type of situation from happening again. Thank you for being obedient to God’s promptings!
