My Takeaways

Something Old

YES and AMEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

“Great and marvelous are Your works, O Lord God, the Almighty. Just and true are your ways, O King of the nations. Who will not fear You, Lord, and glorify your name? For You alone are holy. All nations will come and worship before You, for Your righteous deeds have been revealed.” Revelation 15:3-4

Something New

What does it take to make me repent?

Am I stubborn?

Do I refuse to repent? If yes, why?

Two Greek verbs

  • met-am-el’-lom-ahee : a change of mind that produces regret or even remorse for wrongs done, but not necessarily a change of heart and action. Basically you care afterwards, but not enough to change.
  • Metanoeo: to change one’s mind and purpose, to change after being with
Mounce: to change any or all of the elements composing one’s life: attitude, thoughts, and behaviors concerning the demands of God for right living.

Steps in Repentance

  • Be aware of sin and acknowledge it.
  • Accept God’s mercy and grace.
  • Pursue the things of God in accordance with His Word.

Something to Do

Be more than sorry.

  1. Hello and Happy New Year. I have been off line for a while due to some major upheaval in my life. The death of my mother has been pretty challenging. But I am excited to get back and start reading again. Will I still be able to receive RTW for next year?
