RTW August 1

Who Is The Lord?

The LORD is a jealous God, filled with vengeance and rage. He takes revenge on all who oppose him and continues to rage against his enemies!
The LORD is slow to get angry, but his power is great, and he never lets the guilty go unpunished. He displays his power in the whirlwind and the storm. The billowing clouds are the dust beneath his feet.
The LORD is good, a strong refuge when trouble comes. He is close to those who trust in him.

Nahum 1:2,3,7

  1. Amen! Even if God never did another thing for me, He is so worthy of my praise! My takeaway this morning was the repeated verse “‘I am your enemy!’ says the LORD of Heaven’s Armies” (Nahum 2:13 and 3:5). Nothing but destruction awaits the enemies of God – I am SO thankful that I am no longer His enemy, thanks be to Jesus!

God’s Word impacted Josiah and pushed him to action – does His Word have the same impact on me?
